  • 700 g dried beans
  • 3 medium carrots
  • 1 parsnip root
  • 1 parsley root
  • 1 slice of celery
  • 250-300 g smoked bacon with mouse / smoked ribs

  • 3 bay leaves

I did. I liked it Instead of heinz sauce I used a natural Italian tomato sauce. I put the lemon juice and I didn't understand why it tastes sour..only after reading the comments I realized but I had already trained it with some smoked Hungarian sausages..so now it's very good.

put the chopped onion in the hot oil, turn the heat to low and let it cook, stirring occasionally, for at least 5 minutes. during this time the onion will soften. if you have patience, you can leave it for 10 minutes, just make sure the fire is very low so you don't burn it.

you can put 1 cup of beer (200-250 ml) instead of water. but you have to put some sauce, otherwise just boil the beans in the beer. does not go without. at least some canned crushed tomatoes if you have them at hand.

I am not a fan of commercial sauces, they have many additives, but I made the recipe with homemade tomato sauce and it tasted very good. It went perfectly with raw stew boiled with spices in a pressure cooker (40 minutes), then in the oven for 20 minutes. at high temperature (in a cast iron skillet with four tablespoons of water in which the ciolan boiled).


Steps

The beans are left in cold water overnight. Drain the next day and bring to a boil, gather the foam that forms. Drain the beans twice, each time we put hot water over it and let it boil until the beans are soft.
Finely chopped onion cook in oil until shiny, we can add a sliced ​​carrot.

When the vegetables are soft, pour them over the beans, let the juice cover the beans, pour the tomato juice and let the heat simmer.
Fresh sausages are pricked and fried in a little oil, when they are browned, remove and cut into three pieces each. If you want whole leaves.
Put the sausages and half of the juice in which they were fried in a pan with beans, let them simmer to penetrate the flavors. Taste and season with salt, pepper, thyme and if you like bay leaf now you can put, I do not put at all.
It is ready when the beans are well cooked and the sauce is low and bound.

Bean stew with fasting sausages

A tasty, fasting food that is very easy to make.

  • 300g dried beans
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2-3 peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon buoy
  • 3-4 tablespoons broth
  • 4 pieces of fasting sausages (I used sausages from AIVIA)
  • salt, oil

1. Wash the beans well and boil them with cold water. Let it boil for 4-5 minutes and then discard the water. Fill with hot water and boil again with a teaspoon of salt and peppercorns.

2. Peel an onion and finely chop it and then heat it in a little oil. Add paprika, boiled and drained beans, broth and bay leaf. Stir and leave for a few more minutes. If there is too little sauce, add broth.

3. Separately clean the membrane sausages and cut them into slices. Fry them over low heat and then add them to the beans. I preferred to put them on top.
