Although it is a simple recipe when I prepare homemade bread, my thoughts fly directly to the childhood years when my mother was the one who always baked bread for us, bought very rarely we saw in the house, and we walked guided by it and could not wait to eat it when he took it out of the oven, we were frying, but that didn't matter anymore.
- 500 gr flour
- 2 potatoes
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 25 gr yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 150-170 ml water
Preparation time: less than 90 minutes
RECIPE PREPARATION Bread with potatoes:
Wash the potatoes and boil them with the peel.
When they are cooked, let them cool, peel them and then put them on the small grater.
Dissolve the yeast with a teaspoon of sugar and let it sit in a warm place for 10 minutes.
We put the water in a kettle and put it on the fire until it becomes warm.
Sift the flour, put it in a bowl with the grated potatoes, yeast and salt.
Mix lightly by hand to incorporate them a little, then add the oil, pour the water gradually and knead until the dough becomes elastic, homogeneous and non-sticky.
Cover the bowl with a clean towel and leave the dough to rise in a warm place.
Heat the oven, set a suitable temperature.
After the dough has risen, grease a pan with oil, put it in the pan and spread it with your fingers (you can knit it, give it what shape you want).
Let it rise for another 10-15 minutes in the pan, then put it in the hot oven.
When it has browned nicely on top, it means it is ready.
We take it out of the oven, let it cool a bit and then wrap it in a clean towel to keep it fresh.
