Tort Sacher

For our family, the arrival of spring every year has a special significance: March 21 is a special day, being marked by two events: spring solstice and .... husband's birthday ..... Happy birthday Vasile: X !!!! And on this occasion I wanted to prepare a finer cake with plenty of chocolate :) !!!!!,

  • For the countertop:
  • 150 g milk chocolate / bitter
  • 130 g butter
  • 110 g old powder
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 110 g sugar cough
  • 125 g flour
  • 300 g apricot jam
  • For decoration:
  • 400 g milk chocolate / bitter (I used 300 g)
  • chocolate sauce for glazed appearance

Servings: 12

Preparation time: less than 90 minutes

Heat the oven (on the right heat). Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie. Separate the eggs. Beat the foam, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla with the mixer. Add hot chocolate, mixed with the yolks. Whisk the egg whites with the caster sugar, and add 1/3 of the foam over the chocolate table, using a spatula. Add the flour, previously sifted, little by little. Lightly mix the rest of the egg white foam. Put the composition in the shape of diam. of 24 cm. and bake 30-40 min. depending on the oven, or safer until it passes the toothpick test.

After cooling, cut the top in half. Heat the apricot jam and grease the first top with half of it. Add the second top on top and grease with the rest of the jam. Melt the chocolate and carefully pour over the cake, starting from the middle of the cake to the edges. Put the cake in the fridge for approx. 15 min., After which we glaze it with the chocolate sauce prepared in advance.

Tips sites

With a spoon, form small swirls over the cake to create the marbled look.
