The vegetables are cleaned, washed and chopped according to preference.
Wash the rice well and leave it in cold water for 30 minutes.
Put the oil and chopped vegetables in the Crock-Pot slow cooker bowl.
Sprinkle with vegetables and pepper and mix.
Put the rice and water and mix.
Put the lid on and put the appliance in the High position for 3 hours.
When ready, mix and sprinkle with chopped greens if desired.
It is served hot, but it is good and cold.
